If your not with Fibrus, its that time of the year again when internet providers start announcing price increases (BT/Sky/EE/Virgin/Three etc.) to match inflation, this year its 7.3%.
(O2 is charging monthly phone contract customers on their sim plans 8.33% extra in 2026 !)
From 1st April 2026 Consumer Price Index (CPI) 3.4% plus 3.9% = 7.3% increase
Take BT for example, price increases for the past 5 years:
BT 2022 - 9.3% increase
BT 2023 - 14.4% increase
BT 2024 - 6.4% increase
BT 2025 - 6.4% increase
BT / EE 2026 - they are apparently no longer using CPI/RRI % rates, instead they are issuing flat rate of £4 extra per month extra to your BT/EE broadband bill regardless what package you are on (if its £40 bill currently, that is a 10% price increase monthly)
BT Example: if you have never changed your deal with BT since Jan 2022, a £40 monthly bill which started Jan 2022 to mid 2026, would now be at least £60.61 a month = 51.5% more.
